Is snow sticking to your dog?

Since we have had the misfortune of getting about a foot of snow in the last few days, it's been sticking to Molly and forming balls. On one of the forums someone mentioned Cowboy Magic and Show Sheen which I purchased. I put the Show Sheen on Molly yesterday and couldn't believe how well it works. I haven't tried the Cowboy Magic yet as I expect it is more concentrated and I don't want to put too much on her as I've heard it can be hard to get off because it's waterproof.

Anyone else try these?

We actually use Paw Protect which is a spray on moisturizer/protector for paw pads against snow/salt/ice/pavement. We spray it on their feet, and then lightly on wherever the snow collects as well. It works great.

As for the Pam, I wouldn't use a chemical based formula on my dog - or anything that greasy, personally... but having not tried it, I guess I can't totally discount it.

We use Pam on Toby's feet. We spray on a pretty good coat of it just before he hits the snow. It works fairly well. We also cut his belly hair and his back leg feathers short so he doesn't collect as much snow there. Cutting his
belly short has been a godsend for keeping him *relatively* snow free.

Haha! EVERYTHING sticks to Schnauzers! My granpa's Schnauzer looked like that when he came in from the snow. They have velcro coats :p .

Oooh, me too!
Snow sticking to dogs is horrible, B ended up with snow casts in approx 10 minutes out side one day last year.

I fixed this problem by doing this to him

I have a bottle of Paw Protect and it works fairy well for about 5 minutes, but then their feet absorb the oils enough so that they start getting ice in between their toes again, but not enough so that it doesn't leave their coat greasy. >-.-< So after being outside for 15 minutes, I come in with dogs with icy toes and greasy coats.

Has anybody tried "Musher's Secret" paw wax? I would like to try it and see if it works but I'd love to hear some opinions on it first.

My brother's golden would come back COVERED in snow! The worst was the snow that got stuck between his toes. It was so hard to pick out we would end up filling up the bathtub with about an inch of warm water and just make him stand there for a minute or two. Here in Tennessee we like never get snow :( so I don't have to worry about it.
