I have a puppy that is 5 months old, and she is my first dog. She is very well behaved, and is very well potty trained.

When she gets put in her crate when people are not home, she is never in there for more than 5 hours. When I let her out we run outside together put she doesn't goto the bathroom, she just piddles on the deck. She acts like she got tortured in her crate. Yet her crate has never been used for punishment, and she herself has never been punished in a harmful way. So i don't understand why she acts so terrified. She will run in and out of her crate during the day bringing toys/treats in and out.

So the main point is how to i get her to stop piddling like she is scared on the deck, and just go pee in the grass like she does 99& of the time?

If I hear you correctly you take her out of the crate to go potty...you go outside together.......she piddles on the deck while you're standing right there. That's not separation anxiety.

Are you yelling at her, giving her 'dirty' looks or making threatening gestures.....trying to get her out to the grass? If you're doing any of those things then I could understand why she feels threatened. Then, it becomes submissive urination.....what dogs do sometimes when they are scared.

I use to say no when she would do a submissive pee, which only made it worse. Now i just give her no attention, and try to ignore her. Because if I goto pet her she gets so excited and pee's all over the deck

Just relax and clean the deck and work on confidence building through the use of obedience training and nilif. She'll most likely outgrow submissive and excitement peeing over the next few months as long as you don't make a big deal about it.
