Hello, I sadopted my dog from a rescue in Bulgaria, he has been in the rescue since a puppy and when he was there he was great with people and other dogs! It is so important for him to be good with dogs and people to us as i need to be able to take him to my Mums house were there’s a few dogs and always family round. He is a collie mix for sure, he’s 1 now.

It is 6 days in and we had a visitor yesterday to see how he reacts, he growled and barked at the visitor continuously until they left, especially when they came into the living room (where his bed is). He let the visitor feed him treats but after the treats were done he was back to barking and threatening the visitor.

He is also super reactive on walks barking aggressively at dogs and growling at people…

I want some re assurance that this isn’t forever, he wasn’t like this before and it breaks my heard how different he is here.

Please help give me advice or reassurance it will change? Has anyone else experienced this?
