Ever get that feeling...

...you're being watched?

I was walking my dog at the park we rarely go to, we were at the water's edge, there's an embankment leading up to the flat grassy area. Well, I kept getting a feeling like I was being watched, but I'd look around, look up, but nothing. Finally I caught the culprit! Ha! She was staring down at me from the top of the embankment. I quickly snapped a photo of the offending party.

She kept following us so I was able to get a full photo of her.

Anyone else ever catch your/someone else's dog or other animal staring at you? :)

This dog is just a mutt, however, due to the look in her face and her tail set, I'd say she does have some Taiwan Dog in her. The other dogs she hangs around with are obviously Taiwan Dog mixes(I always say mix because it's very rare to find a pure Taiwan Dog, with known lineage).

Here are other dogs that hang out with her, you can see the similarities in their faces and body type.
This first one is my favorite:

She's such striking dog. All those others dogs are too.

Excuse the stupid question, but are they owned by anyone (like a small village)? How do they interact with humans?

Just really interested

There are a lot of strays here. Unfortunately there are also a lot of owned dogs that are allowed to roam, usually they're wearing a collar, such as that one in the photo of the group of dogs on the gray sand. I imagine a fisherman owns that one and lets him mingle with the strays while he goes off fishing.

Nobody owns the stray or feral dogs, but there are some people who come by each day and leave food for them, plus the fishermen toss them scraps or unwanted bait fish. I haven't ran into any that are truly aggressive. Usually when I walk my dog past a certain group, they'll bark and growl at us, but if we ignore them they'll just follow us until we leave their territory then turn around and lay back down, usually while still barking at us. Even when there's a huge group of them following us, I don't feel threatened by them. The ones I have felt threatened by were in my neighborhood, owned dogs used as guards, they were very aggressive, and they are why one of two reasons why I don't walk my dog in my neighborhood anymore(second being traffic). But the normal and far more common reaction from the strays toward humans or my dog is to ignore us. They might glance in our direction if they're curious, but that's about it. They will walk or run away if they think a human is approaching them and normally only approach the people who come there to feed them.
