Disgusting -- eating "Poo"

How do you keep a dog from eating "poo"? When she plays in the back yard, or goes on a walk she manages to find kitty "poo" or other doggie poo. If she finds it before I do--she will try to eat it, until I get it out of her mouth. As a result, I hesitate to let her play off-leash in the back yard (where kitty does her "thing"). Any suggestions?

I'm sure you're already aware of the serious dangers in eating other dogs poop....parasites, parvo, etc. That's why we keep them leashed or close when off leash. Here's where the "Leave It!" command is probably used the most.

If its your kitty ...then don't let her do her "thing" in the yard :)....if its a stray there is not much you can do to keep her out...if its a neighbors kitty..then I would have a nice talk w/them :)

on walks or off leash areas....I agree w/tooney ....."Leave It!" command is very necessary

also in the yard you may want to scout out the "problem areas" before going out to cut back on the amount that is available
