Your dog can get a cold/flu, but not from you.

 

Do you have sources? Never heard of this before.

 

"Kennel cough" is actually one of several various respitory issues, including parainfluenza, Bordetella, adenovirus, and mycoplasma. So basically, a dog cold or dog flu but not really the same ones that humans get. There is a tiny bit of potential that an immune compromised human might be at risk from Bordetella but AFAIK, minimal to no risk of a dog catching a human flu or cold.
