Pretty self-explanatory. My best friend in high school had one, Sam (girl) (along with 4 other dogs, several barn carts, and 2 birds, and a literal farm of ponies) and my fiance had one who recently passed: Tyler. Just curious to see others opinions/experiences of the breed. My own experience is fairly limited.
I know some of the cons (some of these are situational/subjective): can bark, bark and BARK, can be food resource guarders*, giant dogs mean everything tends to be scaled up in cost, like to roam, etc. But is that general for the breed? Are there other things to keep in mind? (LGD=possibly protective?)
I have a lot of respect and admiration for the breed. With puppy fever comes to urge to research ALL THE BREEDS
Although I know FI and I will not be even considering adopting a puppy of this breed/mix until we are more settled (a place with a yard, not a rental, etc.), so not for several years at least
Any and all pictures are also appreciated. For research purposes
*Tyler was a rescue who was emaciated, so that and the rest of his unknown first year and a half of experiences could have contributed to that.
