Hello, I got my puppy a week ago from the breeder, he is a malitipoo. He had a lump pop out of nowhere two days ago above his pee pee spot. I immediatley got searching and called the vet. So after my searching, I got quite worried about my pup, it seems that there is not much to do until they are of certain age and even then they are not neccessary to fix. I Just wanted to show the size of the hernia and if you knew from smal to large what size it was for him

My female rat terrier had one and they fixed hers when I got her spayed for an additional $20. That was 11 years ago. Her's was quite large. Your puppies looks small from the photos.

Welcome to DF.

Cute puppy. It's hard to tell from pics if it's large, small or fixable. I would ask your vets recommendations.

I know that it freaks you out but it's quite common. Just make sure that your vet keeps an eye on it. Max has had one for as long as we have had him and his is fine. (it's small so they don't do anything about it)

BYW- Your puppy is adorable! Welcome to DF!

My Webster had one as well...it was repaired during his neuter with no complications.

Just something to keep an eye on...of course ask your vet's professional opinion.

umbilical hernias are very common
as long as the hernia is reducable it is probably just a little fatty tissue pushing through the opening. Definitely keep reducing it.... if it gets to where you cant reduce it any longer then a vet visit is in order
as long as the tissue is reduceable it shouldn't be a problem

your vet can repair it easily during the neuter
