Without a doubt that would be the Affenpinscher, a.k.a. the Monkey Faced Terrier, also sometimes referred to as the mustachioed little devil. They are amazing little dogs with all the spunk of tenacity of a terrier in a tiny package. They are known as being very entertaining with big personalities. Add to that their cute little smushy faces and how could you resist? Here's a link to the Affenpinscher Club of America website which has more information and pictures: http://www.affenpinscher.org/

If I were to ever get a toy breed it would be a papillon.
because they are tough little buggers.
They have the drive it takes to work
and as people say "they are the border collie of the toy breeds"
i was going to say just about the same thing....when i'm too old and "feeble" for the Borders it'll have to be a Pap...but probably an old one so that i will be able to handle it:D:rolleyes:

Papillons for me too...they have a look that I like and they seem energetic and fun. I actually like several toy breeds as well though, Pomeranians, Longhair Chis, CKCS, Havanese....

Ironically, even though I'm a Standard Poodle freak and think they are the smartest most wonderful dogs, I would never have a toy poodle (too yappy for me). I'd probably have a papillon or a pomeranian if I had to have a toy breed.

I'm torn between the Affenpinscher and the Papillion. I fostered a puppy mill Aff once and he had no drive and was very timid, but he was also a survivor and after only 5 weeks of fostering was well on his way to making someone a very good pet. I have never owned a Pap but the ones I have met are friendly and easily trained.

I actually like a lot of the toy breeds. :p Papillons, Poms and toy poodles are my faves (the toy SHOULD be just like the standard in personality- most aren't, but the good ones are!). Cavs are also fun (but too laid back for me :p). I'm not a fan of most of the brachecephalic breeds, but I quite like Chin and Pekes can be wonderfully weird little dogs.

Oh, and I *seriously* covet Ruthann McCauley's LH chih girl Delia, who is working on her UD. (Videos on YouTube under user rallyjudge)- she's SUPER awesome and cute.

Papillons.
Duh.
Why? Because they're awesome! :p They keep up with my Aussie and keep me active. They really are a big dog in little dog body. If you look up herding papillon you youtube, there's someone in Mexico? (sorry if that's wrong) and she has videos of her pap herding sheep (well actually they're training the pap, but seriously... who expects a dog that small to have the drive to do that?)

Well, I have to say my first choice is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, especially because I own one! But I there are other toy breeds that I love. The Papillon is a favorite of mine. Also, Pomeranians. I love Bichons, Malteses and Pugs, too. Oh yeah, poodles! Let's just say I'm a toy-loving nut LOL!
