My sister made a comment about my Yorkie....she is still a pup, so her colors will change. Right now is she black and tan like normal Yorkie pups, but her left paw is white, she has some white on her chest, and a little dribble of white on the back of her neck. I have never seen a Yorkie pup in any picture with any white o them. This is why I picked her to begin with because she was different then the other two that were in the litter. I saw the mom and the dad both, and they were great. My sister's concern was that maybe she wasn't pure bred. I believe she is - even if she wasn't, it wouldn't change anything anyways!

You actually get 2 different breeds of yorkies... yours might be what they call a "Biewer". It is actually a piebald yorkie that does have white markings.

If it's parents were both Yorkies then you did not get a new breed called the Biewer like Dozi says, insted you got a mismarked yorkie. They are fairly common but usually the white areas shrink or even disapear as the dog grows up. Have fun with your puppy! Make sure you do lots of training and don't spoil him too much.

Interesting! Thank you for that information. I think she is just mismarked, but we shall see. Both the mom and the dad had normal colors. I wish she would maintain her colors because they are so cute! I got her from a breeder.
