So I've got Nala to understand that Click=treat but when I reward her for doing something I like, she immediately gets up and stares at me for another treat. Is that normal? or do I have to start doing something else?

It's normal for dogs to look to us for guidance. If you want to see what she'll do next, try being still and look back at her like you want her to do something. She likely will. It may even be the same behavior you're training. Bingo! reward her for she'll be further on her way to knowing the behavior.

Actually, I make it a point to reward eye contact. I want her to pay attention to me, and be ready to respond if I issue a command.

That's excellent, some people have to train their dogs just to do that.
