I have a small rescued hound (Gus) who recently sprained his right front paw. The vet prescribed reduced activity (crate) for a week. After 3 weeks of favoring/reducing the weight he places on his right paw and thus increasing the weight he places on his left leg, Gus has developed a clicking in his joint(wrist) above his left paw. The "click" happens when Gus takes pressure (lifts) his left leg while walking. Is this something I should be concerned with?

Can't 'diagnose' a click over the Web. Massage his paw and see if it bothers him. If he's not walking normally after 3 weeks, call the Vet and ask for suggestions. When my dog sprains his paw, he seems to be OK after about 1 week of slower, shorter walks.
