Okay, i've posted on here once before inquiring about my dog Kiba. When I adopted him from the shelter they said he's a husky mix. A friend of mine who owns a wolf dog says he for sure has wolf in him. any where from low to a lower/mid content. He is still gaining weight, currently at 50lbs, he was only 30lbs when we got him. His eyes are YELLOW! Not a golden brown or honey gold, they are yellow! the lightling in the images show his actualy eye color, they are just as bright inside the house, as I will post an image for. I just want to get some experts two cents on what he is because everyone I meet is so wary around him. He is very skiddish and doesnt care much to please. he does howl, and i mean a straight long howl when he's outside at night, as well as some random husky broken howls when he's playing. please tell me your oppinion, cause I've had a husky before and he acts nothing like one.

Here he is next to a pure breed husky. both of them are white, Kiba has the yellow eyes, Sebby has the blue eyes. Everyone I show this image to can clearly see Kiba has more than just Husky to him.

Oh his hair is quite a bit straighter now, isn't it.
Kinda, I've been brushing him every day since i posted last time. That and with it being summer his coat has thinned out a bit. I've also taken him to my friend with the wolf dog cause she's a groomer and she trimmed his fur a bit so he'd have less to carry around in this heat. Cant shave him so a very light trim did just fine

Sorry but i see no wolf in him. I see nothing more then a beautiful husky/gsd mix. Just because he has yellow eyes does not mean he has wolf in him. There is plenty of dogs out there that have yellow eyes. Howling means nothing either as most dogs howl.
This is my male Loki's mother Isis who is an arctic mix

His grandmother Chama who also is an arctic mix

Chinowa his great grandmother also an arctic mix

As you will see there's no similarities at all.

Odiesmom, arctics are by no means smaller. I wouldnt consider an animal that is 120lbs up to 150lbs to be small by any means. You are definately giving out false info.
I am only going by what I was told and the dog I owned. I also remember telling the op to google it to get more information. Have you ever seen an Arctic wolf ?I by no means ever claimed to be an expert on the subject !!!

Seeing that Cindy has been rescueing wolf mixes for years I'd take bets if she has seen a pure AW, she's seen a VERY high content mix of one. But you MIGHT want to get the facts and not false info from a 'greeder' that will pass off dogs as something they aren't.

If it has any wolf in it it's so low that it's mostly dog. Dogs have varying personalities so just because this Husky acts different from your old Husky is nothing weird.
The coat on the dog reminds me of a long haired GSD, so like Cindy said, it's likely a GSD/Husky mix.

He does look "wolfy" though doesnt he! Maybe you got the best of both worlds, a beautiful dog that looks like a wolf but doesnt have the difficult traits. I would probably wonder secretly if he had a drop or two of wolf blood in him, more for the romantic notion than anything else. I guess it almost doesnt matter since either way he's still the same spirit. As a decidedly non expert though you should definitely trust Cindy over my silliness.

I only asked if she had seen one because they look alot like the dog the op is speaking of. And I did NOT get my dog from a "greeder" she was actually from a line of iditatod champs bred by Linda Pletner, that is when I was told she looked alot like her AW roots. I am sorry I ever made a comment on this thread, I was only making an observation. I do not know Cindy or her background with wolves nor does she know me!

Yes I have seen them before, along with a ton of other pure wolves. Plus lions, tigers, and etc. etc. Loki's breeder, that I went to pick him from is Deborah Warrick who owns St. Augustine wild reserve.

I've looked up Plettner Kennels which is located in Wasilla, AK and from what I'm seeing they're breeding alaskan huskies and sibes, out of all the pics i've come acrossed theres not one wolfdog looking animal in the bunch. Would also hope she's not claiming to be breeding any either as she would be putting all the animals she has at risk as they're illegal in alaska.

My male Loki is half arctic, along with tundra and british columbian in there too. As you see though he did not pick up his mothers white coloring but his fathers. He is a large animal like he's supposed to be 120lbs the last time I weighed him.

My female Selene is smaller she's 75lbs. but females are supposed to be smaller then the males. Usually around 70 to 100lbs.

Beautiful dogs/wolves !! And just to clear it up I was given my pup by Linda Plettner nearly 18 years ago, before the ban in Alaska on wolf hybrids. I was told the AW had been bred into the line. My Sadie did not have the temperment to be an iditarod dog thus was given to me as a pet. Linda carefully explained to me at the time what I was in for by adopting a dog with so much wolf in her. At her biggest I think Sadie weighed in at about 65 lbs, a bit bigger than your average sled dog. I looked at the site you gave the link for and my dog looked ALOT like China, one of the wolfs in the pics.
