Ace loves having his nails clipped. We started very early on with the clippers and associated them with getting LOTS of treats and pets. First, we held and gently squeezed his paws and rewarded him with treats. Then, we showed him the clippers and gave him a treat just for being near them. After that, we touched the clippers his paws (without actually clipping) and treated him. We practiced this a few times a week for several weeks. When we finally started clipping we would only do one or two nails at a time and would stop immediately if he started to act stressed or worried (before he got into a panic).

Yesterday, I grabbed the clippers and sat down on the floor with a bowl of treats. Ace came running over and handed me his paw. XD I'm so proud of the little dude! :clap2:

That is great! :D

I have just began training Eddee .... he is a tough one. He must have had a previous really bad experience ... never breaks the skin ... but bites as soon as he see's the clippers! :/
