My giants are 16 months. I heard they grow until they are almost 3 years old, but I would like to spay and neuter them before my females 3rd heat. The last one was brutal for all of us and I can't imagine going through 4-5 cycles. Do they continue to put on weight and fill out if we fix them at 18 months??

Yes, they should. Obviously a majority of development is before 18 months, but because that is the point where their skeletal growth is usually finished there shouldn't be any wonky development if neutering is delayed until then. Growth after that point will be 'filling out' so some muscle development will happen. I will say there may not be quite as much muscle development, but the difference would be minute.

They may also grow too much, because neutered dogs become overweight much easier than intact dogs! So just keep an eye on that
My female went from 3 cups a day to 2 after being spayed.
