My brother calls me to tell me about a small Chihuahua dog that was wondering around the highway that runs in front of his work and asks me to come pick up the dog. I pick up the little guy and took him home. He had a rabies tag (which happened to be the same vet I use) and a city tag ... both of which were from year 2010. The next day I called my vet and they gave me "Taco's" two contact numbers. First one was no longer in use and the second never had an answer. The following day I called again and finally got an answer. The guy who answered contacted the owner to contact me. The owner calls and says that her and her Mom will meet up with me.
Mom and daughter show up and daughter seems happy to have Taco back. The Mom then tells me, "I saw him run down the street, chasing my son's truck. I thought when he reached the stop light, he would just turn back and come back home."
 The stop light on their street is the intersection of their street and the busy 4 lane highway! Why on earth would you knowingly, willingly, allow your dog to run towards, any street really, but a busy highway?! I would have been having a heart attack!
Well, they have Taco back now and are happy. ...I hope they don't continue to be so careless with him.
Here's the picture I took of Taco while I had him at my house. He was glued to my side every step I made through the house during his entire stay.
