New member, here. Hi guys. Shaking off (as if dog is wet, but she isn't) is a common Displacement Behavior. These behaviors are performed in an effort to resolve an internal stress conflict. Other displacement behaviors can be:

-Blinking (at a faster rate than normal)
-Chattering Teeth
-Nose licking (dog's nose, not yours!)
-Scratching
-Yawning

Thanks guys for the responces!!

He got really bad about shaking his head over night and started scratching at them...so I made a vet apt, I'll have him in there in about 2 hrs, I'll update you as to what the vet said....

A vet appt is always the best thing to do if there's a health related thing going on. There are so many things that can cause head shaking and ear infections are at the top of the list. I'm glad you're taking him in. Update us a soon as you can. :)
