I've always been curious why this is. The many times I've been covered with basset drool I've always really, really, really wondered.

My trainer described it as a 'reset button' reflex. Not sure how to explain it... like if a dog is relieved about something or relaxing, often they will give a vigorous shake.

Icesis does it like clockwork whenever we come inside after a walk, especially if it's been a bit chilly out.
