I have always wondered what my dogs and cats think I do in the shower ?? Everytime i take a shower they all sit in the bathroom and watch, like they have to protect me from something lol I can almost hear them talking....is she ok..... do we need to save her ? Lucifer has even stuck his head in like he is checking on me and ohhh lord if I shut the door leaving them outside the bathroom they whine and cry till I am out and safe. Lucifer just sniffed me like he is saying, damn mommy you smell good... you need to go out and roll in something now !!!

Lol! You are too comical! :D

Eddee is the only one (other than Leeo) who cares if I am in the tub or shower. I actually have to crate him when I am in there. The last time I took a nice hot bath ... he jumped in! Lol! That could be dangerous if the water is steeping. Also ... when I get out ... I don't need a towel ... he wants to be the dryer! I took a bath to get "clean" Lol! :)

(EDIT: Gosh thinking about that made me miss Leeo ... he used to knock on the door to see if I was done. :( It is OK though ... it's all good memories. :D )

I crate Merlin as I shower too!

The first time I tried to shower with him out (Jeff was in the room wit him) he stole the bathmat and ran away with it.... lol All I saw was a black blurr with my bathmat!

Over the past few years, it started out that Bella would follow me into the bathroom when I showered.

Then she started to go in before me and wait for me on the mat so I had to manuver around her legs and tail to get into the shower. She'd stay there for the whole shower, until I got out and dripped on her.

Then she started leaving when I shut the water off - supposedly so I wouldn't drip on her.

Then she started leaving half-way though...just in case I guess.

Then she'd escort me there then leave as soon as I got the shampoo in my hair.

Then she'd wait for me to get into the tub and leave.

She doesn't bother anymore. I guess she figures I'll survive.

Christy, the dog in my sig, does that too. I have a long shower that it open on both ends, so she will walk around to an end and peek in. She LOVES smells like body wash, perfume, etc, so she REALLY wants to come in, but isn't sure about it. I don't want to encourage her. Right now, it's bad enough that when I put moisturizer on, she tries to rub her body on my legs to get the scent on her. I end up with fur covered legs if I don't hop around fast enough to avoid her.

Lol. Tank always jumps in with me. He LOVES baths and showers. If I turn the water on and don't let him jump in for a sec he whines and barks, lol. My cousin went through this phase of being scared of baths(he is 3) so when i watched him and he wouldn't get in I would say "Tank will take on too" and he would get right in with Tank, lol. He is over the phase and will still get into the tub just to play with Tank, it is so cute. Bentley loves playing in the lake but hates the bath so stays far from it.

Muggsy used to watch me change with a look of baffled horror: "What is she DOING to her fur?!"

He did follow me into the shower once. Then he figured out that it involved water and that was the end of that.

Luke really doesn't do anything. He always wants to be with me and that includes taking a nap while I'm showering. Sometimes he'll move the curtain and I offer my hand to pet him and he'll lick the water off, but that's it. If it ever gets too hot in there, he can always go out. But that's it; sometimes I do think he thinks I take too long or that my singing isn't the best. Haha.
