I mentioned a little about this in the vet visit thread.Today I saw a Komondor,it was the first one I've seen in real life. It was a large, maybe 120 lbs and thick shaggy fur. It looked like a Olde English Sheepdog with dreadlocks. It was an amazing looking animal.I wouldn't want to make it mad.If it only had a doo-rag! I just thought it was the coolest looking dog I've ever seen. And my brothers English Bulldog, but I might be a little predujice there.

Lol, just a minute ago while my mom and I were driving home from the grocery store, we saw an older couple walking a little poofy orange dog that I swear looked like a dachshund/pomeranian mix. Looked suspiciously like those duster things you use to clean your ceiling fan blades XD

Hm, there are so many cool dogs that I have seen. I think some of my favorites would be a Bull Mastiff I saw at a dog show. He had the most kissable face ever and had a wonderful personality to match. Same for a South African Boerboel I ran into.
The other one that pops into my head was a mixed breed I saw during my rescue project on the reservation. It appeared to have maybe some Elkhound, Chow, Shepherd. The thing that was most impressive was it's coat. IT had the most luxurious hair I had ever seen. It was a Bluish Grey but so beautiful it was almost mesmerizing. All I could think of was "hopefully the fur traders never find this dog. I could almost picture some rich woman walking down the streets with this dogs fur.

I think Huskeys and Malamutes are cool looking.

Also Border Collies.

Papillions too because I love the ears and dogs with "quirky" looks as well.

I recently helped evaluate an unusual-looking guy for potential rescue and placement. I don't know what was in his mix, but he had the most interesting ears I've ever seen - when relaxed they were oddly pricked, but when he was excited his ears would prick so high they would touch together!

I'll post pics later, my comp is acting wonky and they're not posting correctly. :(

Summer looks quirky? Lol!

Anyways, the most awesome dogs I've seen are probably working border collies. Freaking amazing.

Followed shortly by well conditioned game bred APBTs. Just awesome looking. If you ever want to draw a dog, draw a nice pit bull.

I think deerhounds. :) On another though, the Chinese Crested that was posted pulling 210 yesterday was amazing.

The coolest looking ? I do a lot of lake fishing here and there is a farm on the way to one of my favorite secluded lakes and they have a pack of working border collies and when they are in action I always stop and watch , these dogs are just a wonder to watch . It's amazing what they can do .

Not sure if this goes under "coolest", but she was definitely one of the prettiest dogs I've seen. She looked to be a Border Collie/Shepherd (tempted to say Belgian)/Husky mix. She had glossy black fur, a stripe of white down between her eyes to the tip of her nose, a stripe of white down her chest, blue eyes (the ones seen often on a husky), and tufts of fur around and at the base of her ear. Slim, energetic, very sweet dog. Haven't seen her again, sadly.

about the Dachshund/Pom mix looking dog;....maybe it was a puli (looks like a miniature version of a Komondor)...although the one you described sound a little smaller....maybe a mix. The full breeds are either black, rusty black, gray or white. Anyway these are really about the coolest dog I have ever seen.

I just saw a Great Dane at the local St. Patty's day parade last Sunday. I had seen pics here of Nessa's, but never ever did I think they were really THAT big!

He was truly a gentle giant, and was so well behaved. I was literally frozen for a minute when he was in front of me, not because I was scared or anything, just because I'm only 5 feet tall and he was so massive. Beautiful dog, though. The kids just loved him, and he was awesome with them and all the noises.

I think it's a tie between the newfie my best friend in middle school had that I thought was a bear the first time I saw it (she lived in the woods, it was possible!) and a huge dog at a rally which I think was an irish wolfhound?
