I agree with Graco22. Also, it's better if you brush daily to avoid mats. It doesn't take long if you keep up with it regularly. Also, when you bathe him, brush while you blow dry, or else the hair will twirl itself up. Is your dog a puppy? If so, he'll go through a coat change to a woolier texture as he matures.
