The wholesaler's that supply vets use a customary and usual pricing scheme to price their products - which vets must pass on to their customers. For products available at human pharmacies the cost is much less. For instance, antibiotics, such as Clindamycin at a vet costs about $2.50 per pill, but at human pharmacies they may be only 40 cents a pill. Similar discounts apply to pain killers such as tramadol and gabapenten.

My dog has serious eye problems and needs some eye drops and ointments that are not used on humans and don't seem to be available at 1800petmeds or DrsFoster-and-Smith, nor at my online compounding pharmacy (The Prescription Center - rxfixer.xcom). Specifically I am looking for Flurbiprofen 0.04% (not 0.03%) and Propine also known as Dipivefrin and also AK-Spore ointment. Anyone know a good source?
