Hi I'm new I dont have a pic of her but a YouTube clip of my beloved chiweenie. Incase anybody wanted to look I want to know what you would miss about your dog or about owning dogs (I know no body will say cleaning up its .... Well messes) :D
Also I would love to see your any pictures of your dogs
The thing I would miss about my dog is seeing the joy she gets out of the most simplistic things

A million things so I will go with one of the least obvious. I would miss having to get out of bed and get going every day. There are days when I would rather not, but I feel my life is better when I have to. Here's a rare day when things were inexplicably reversed...

My list is too long for here lol but to start I would miss cuddling up with 3 dogs to keep me warm on a cold winters night ( a 3 dog night ) , the way they greet me when I come home with such unconditional love, the way they know when I am feeling down and are right at my side to make me feel better, the way they make me laugh with thier antics , I will happily clean up thier messes and live with dog/cat hair all over my house to have the joy of being owned by my furbabies !!!

i would miss being missed, even if it's been only 5 minutes. every time i walk through the door and i see those eyes and that tail wagging, waiting for me to say, "hi, boy" so he can walk/shake his way to me and smell where i was without him.

I would miss the one aspect of life where I can easily make a difference. It's totally selfish in a way, but I have never felt better than I do now after having dogs like Jonas and Elsa. I don't know where else I can feel that kind of love and accomplishment.

I would miss the mushing mostly. I love it so much. I would also miss not having a real reason to go to the dog park. I have met so many great people there, it's socialization for me too! We go almost every day.

I would miss them motivating me. If they werent here I would be bigger than a cow! I would miss my feet warmers, haha. Every night Tank falls asleep at my feet then around 12 moves up closer to me and then Bentley jumps on my feet to keep them warm, lol.

Those scritchy scratchy whiskers tickling my face when she turns her face up for a kiss. And wait a minute, are girl dogs even supposed to have whiskers??

The excited greeting I get when I've been gone for all of the two minutes I've been out taking out the trash. In Plume's mind, I've been incarcerated for the last ten years and have just returned home after a long separation. She will be sitting right by the door, waiting faithfully, and with excitement, for my return.

"Yes, Plume," I tell her, after checking my stop watch, " I have been gone for about ninety seconds. Thank you for the love. The love is returned in spades. You can relax now."

I don't love cleaning up messes; who does? But that's the not so lovely part of dog ownership. And generally beyond the dog's control if it involves vomit, diarrhea, etc. That just needs to be cleaned up calmly, quietly and without scolding the dog. Just as you would not scold a young child for vomiting or even your adult self if you were to vomit out of sickness.

This^^ This is how Luke is with me, when I wake up in the morning he is sooooo happy to see me even though he slept next to my bed all night long!! lol I can always count on that happy loving face and wagging tail to greet me and make me feel better no matter what kind of day I've had. And Zoey is turning into my little cuddle bug. She doesn't show affection in that enthusiastic OMG I LOVE YOU SO MUCH way like Luke does, but she will just come over and snuggle and cuddle. Love that I can always count on my dogs to make me feel better.

Kafkabeetle: I love your yarn picture!
