I agree with the others. They are choosing the dog over their grandchild. Actually they are choosing laziness and their neglect of the dog by not training it and allowing it to become what it has. In your shoes? No more visits. If it hurts their feelings, then so be it. I have a friend whose 8 year old is scarred for life because of an aunt's dog. Got her in the face and nearly killer her when she was 5. Poor kid is the butt of jokes and lots of stares now and will always be. And this is after several plastic surgeries. Not worth it, in my opinion.
