Hello,

I just got an eight week old male Chihuahua/Papillon mix. I've named him Finnlee. He's my first puppy in twenty years. What toys would you recommend for him? I have small balls, a rope and rope log and a bone shaped squeaker toy. I check the toys every time we play. Would nylabone's be two hard. My previous dog didn't like them so I've never used them. And just how small do Kongs go?

Thanks,
AJ and Finnlee

Congrats on your new puppy. I love his name too. I am picking up a new puppy in two weeks. She is a bichon frise. I have already bought many toys for her. There are so many choices out there that it is easy to go crazy buying stuff. I also bought some of the same toys you mentioned getting. In addition I also got a little fuzzy slipper that squeaks, a small fox that has no stuffing and a small Kong to fill with treats. The Kong I got is very small probably only a couple inches in height. I am not a big fan of the nylabone's. I bought one once for my mom's little malti/poo and he was easily able to break off tiny pieces which made me very nervous in terms of choking.
