The vet should do a thorough exam. I would take along a fresh stool specimen (within the hour before the appointment or keep it refrigerated until then, transport with an ice pack) to check for parasites, even though you haven't seen anything. They're common in puppies and it never hurts to check. Ask about the vaccination schedule, when to neuter, payment policies (you'll want to know when that big expense comes up unexpectedly), after hours emergency service, heartworm, how to clean teeth when the adult teeth come in, how to trim nails...
