We were told he was a Staffy X Shar pei, however i think he looks Shar pei X Pitbull. Me and my other half can't agree so i would be interested in what other dog lovers think!!

Staffy is sometimes used by shelters as a "polite" term for Pit Bull. The two terms aren't completely interchangeable (its the subject of a lot of debate), but they are very close to one another.
There isn't much of a difference between the two.. Staffies are more the show line, Pit Bulls the working. But for the intents and purposes of a mix, Pit Bull is fine.
