We just adopted him a couple of days ago. We don't really care what kind of dog he is, but I thought it would be fun to hear your guesses. The Humane Society said he was a husky/shepherd mix, but I'm not so sure about the husky. I'm wondering if there might be some lab in there, too. Let me know what you guys think!

He looks a lot like the Alaskan Husky x Pointer/Hound crosses I see being used in sled dog sprint racing these days! I could definitely be wrong, but that's what he reminds me of. :)

He almost has the same markings as our terrier:

We still don't know what breed she may have in her though, our latest vet thinks she might be part Basenji because of her patterns and her strange bark.

Are those dog DNA tests really accurate??
They don't definitively tell you exactly what your dog is, and I believe they only have a certain number of dog breeds in the database (I think 55 is the general number? I've seen 130, too) that it checks for, so it gives you a preliminary idea of what breeds could have contributed. But you'd never know about the other breeds that weren't included.

That being said, I'd like to get one on my mutt. I think it could be fun to even have a slight idea what is in her, because I see something different every day.
