My husband noticed this bump on Abbys (patterdale terrier) chest when he was scratching that area on friday. Since then it has grown to what you see in the pictures. It has gotten bigger and much more red in color. Also, it has no white head or anything, it is not a pimple. It hasn't been seeming to bug her, I haven't seen her gnawing at it or scratching at it. She hasn't been any place new except for her vet appointment last Wednesday when she got spayed. She is only 7 1/2 months old.

I don't know what it is but I would be taking her into the vet ASAP !

I will be calling for an appointment tomorrow. We've been watching it, and it hasn't gotten better. I'm curious and impatient, I want an idea of what it is!

It is hard to know for sure it could be a cyst. it could be an ingrown hair. it could be something is poked in there and caused a bump and its filling with fluid.

but to me it looks like a sabashist cyst which can grow and sometimes burst but are not usually cancerous but then again its always best to biopsy anything abnormal.
