I saw a brush on TV a few days ago for de matting dogs.. It was pretty neat and I thought I'd try and find one... Only problem is.. I don't know what it was called!! I had never seen one before.. It was like a comb... and one side of the prongs were dull, and the other side sharp, and you were supposed to put the dull edge towards the skin, and the sharp edge at the mat, to help cut through the mat. What was it???

The problem with using tools like these is that you further damage the coat, which creates even worse matting. Your best bet is to use a dematting product like Survivor (EQyss product). Prevention is much easier than trying to deal with a matted coat. Regular grooming will prevent mats.
