Good afternoon everyone. I will be adopting one of the puppies in the picture below (specifically, the one on the left side of the photo). I know the mother was a black lab mix, but with the colorings, I can't tell if the father was likely a rotty or dobie mix. Any ideas? Both puppies are from the same litter. Thanks in advance!

Rotties and dobies aren't the only black and tans. There are also german shepherds, coonhounds, miniature pincers, a number of terriers and a few others I'm forgetting.

Given the size, fur and markings, I'm guessing black and tan coonhound, though it's hard to say with small puppies.

It's veryvery hard to tell at this young age (make sure you don't separate them from their mother and each other before 8 weeks!). I'm inclined to say Rottie because of the thickness of their legs, but all young pups are fairly thick.

I'd say either Rottie or Coonhound, very cute pup!
