I don't physically have a dog at the moment, but I'll be bringing one home very soon.

name: Bodie (named her after the California ghost town)
age: 2 1/2 weeks
breed: border collie
weight: maybe 3 pounds, but will likely be in the 35 to 40 pound range when grown.

AddieJade, I hope you have stock in a dog food company! I can't imagine feeding that many big dogs. I'm guessing they are not all inside pets, right?
My last two pooches were both GSD mix in the 65-75 pound range. During the 1.5 years we had both dogs at the same time (a senior and a puppy) it felt like we spent as much on dog food and vet bills as we did on human food and doctor bills.

Atlas
Almost 2.5 yrs
Australian Shepherd
65 lbs
(I waited to post until after our vet visit so I could have an accurate weight, haha. He gained 5 lbs over the last year.)
And as a side note, his favourite hobby is being wet and dirty and his motto is "dirty dogs have more fun." Good thing he's cute!

They are GORGEOUS!!!!!

I love so many breeds it would be hard to choose just one, but we don't have to!

I was told that Laurel is 3/4 chi and 1/4 minpin even though she looks more like a chorkie right now. Her temperment is perfect for me: all the love and courage of a Chihuahua but with enough terrier resilience and robustness to handle my inexperience with small dogs and less-than-perfect life.
