The coloring is quite typical of GSD, so GSD mixed with something, maybe Labrador and/or a somewhat smaller breed. If you really want to know, then doing a DNA test like Embark or Wisdom Panel would give you a pretty decent idea of his makeup.

He’s 27 pounds at 6months soo I’m wondering if he think will get any bigger

Must have something smaller in the mix if he's part GSD, then. For reference, by nine year old GSD weighs between 50 and 55 pounds, and is 25" tall, and she is considered small, even for a bitch. My nearly seven month old Standard Poodle puppy weighs about 35 pounds and is pushing 25" tall, as best I can tell. I'm expecting him to mature in the 50 to 60 pounds range and be two to four inches taller than the GSD.
