I have been looking for a few days for a scale of dog temperments that housedogs are generally rated by. Is there such a thing?

I know the SPCA has listed dog temperments on their information sheet for adoptable dogs. It seems to state whatever the previous owner had put down aside from the other tests assessed by their staff.

I'm just curious how Ilya would be rated on a standard scale. His adoption papers say he is friendly, good with children and other dogs, and trained. This is true with a few other issues. I'm still crazy about him and couldn't ask for a better match. He keeps me laughing daily.

Lola, on the other hand, was listed with the same information and she is one of the easiest dogs to care for and train. She tolerates almost anything, has never bitten a person (even play biting), so easily trained that I was amazed my son used his own "go to the room and stay on my bed" command and she did it!
