At least, in a moderate-stress situation. Dogs who are picking a fight and dogs who just wanna play without the ritual. I didn't run into the first latley, but I have ran into the second. Yesterday, we go down to the lake in the dog swining area. There's this lady working her three chocolates, who are able to ignore ours. Never in a million years would these three acuse a problem, it was obvious they were more intersted in fectch than Fry.

One was a pup, it came over, all "Play with MEEEE!" Fyr got a bit stiff, growled a bit, pup got it, left. The next time it came over, they started the ritual. No problems what so ever.

Then, this standard poodle joins us. "PLAYPLAY PLAY PLAY! You know, hyper-playbowe, running up the whole nine yards. Just wants to say "HI", annoys some dogs. If all Fry had done was snapped at it, that would have been the end. However, Five dogs + Water, so she's not sure if she can get out + Exitment of other dogs, toys, and being at the lake = her going to far. She chased that dog down, so *That* did get a hard "Hey!" follow by calling her and going on. As we were leaving, this stupid dog come up for more. D'oh.
