My puppy has vomited 3 few times this week (including just now)...

She was on medication for reverse sneezing, but is now doing much better. I noticed that she doesn't chew her dry food too well... Could either of these be the cause of her vomiting? My only other idea is maybe the treats that I give her... the Blue Buffalo bacon kind... She also just got a shot today at the vet.

Any suggestion on what could be causing this?

Thank you very much!!

Did you tell your vet about that?
If he or she just gave your dog a shot to control vomit i'd change vet.
Your pup could have a sensitive stomach, cut off the treats for a week and see what happens, i would also pour half cup of water on his food bowl so the kibble softens and it's much easier on the pups stomach.

Whenever there is vomit and diahrrea, pups and dogs alike should be taken to the vet as soon as possible.

It just looks like vomit with a few whole kibble pieces.

I told the vet, but she said it was probably normal since she's "adjusting". (We've only had her for a week). Luckily, there's no diarrhea, just vomit for the 3rd time today.

Would my puppy not chewing on all the kibble cause vomiting? If so, how do I teach her to chew?

Thanks again!

Theres a dog food plate that has 3 rods in it, apparently it encourages the dog to eat slower and chew, i thiiiink petsmart has it, but i can't remember the name of the plate.

i was in walmart the other day and saw that they had a big silver ball (baseball sized) that you put in the food dish to make the dog slow down while eating too.

i hope that your pup feels better soon :)

I'll try the water on the kibble...

Pepper: How exactly do you put the can in the bowl? Do you surround the can with the kibble?

Ioreks Mom: Do you happen to know the name of that ball? I looked on Walmart's website but couldn't find it.

Thanks!!

Yeah you put a can full of something, like a can of beans, lol, and just set it in the middle and pour the kibble around it(you can use anything heavy really) and the dog has to eat around the heavy thing, meaning there having to take their time.

i am sorry, i don't know the name of the ball. i was in walmart looking for a flower pot and i don't know how your walmart is arranged, but they always have the plants next to the pet supplies here :) anyway, i went around the corner to find more pots and saw that. i noticed it because my friend's dog has the same problem, he eats too fast, but i didn't notice the name or anything because i can just tell her where it is in the store.

i think that the idea that Pepper has is a great one, it works the same as the ball, but you don't have to buy anything special :)
