I have a 6 month old Boston Terrier. We just brought home a 2 month old puppy Boston Terrier and have two dogs now. We have had them for about 3 days now together. 6 month is a male and the 2 month is a female. My 6 month old dog is obsessed with the puppy and will not leave her alone. The puppy gets upset and will bite hard on the older dogs mouth to the point it bleeds. I constantly have to keep them separate and they have yet to play together nicely. You can tell my older dog is just obsessed with the puppy and constantly trying to be on top of her or push her down. My wife and I are very stressed out trying to get these dogs to get along, I need help, any suggestions?

Its only been three days, give them some time to get used to eachother.

Eventually they wont be quite as interested in eachother.

Reward moments of calm, too.

How did you introduce them? Just plop them down together and expect them to get along? That rarely works.

When the older pup starts overwhelming the younger, separate them. In fact, except for short, carefully supervised sessions, they should be separated anyway, to avoid what s commonly called littermate syndrome. Two dogs that are close in age that are raised together may become overly bonded to each other, and not be able to function when apart from each other. Conversely, they might never get along, and constantly fight. Frequently, it's a combination of the two extremes.

Feed them separately. Train them separately. Crate them separately. Two puppies aren't twice the work, they are four times the work.
