Treats for training

I'm thinking of starting to use kibble instead of treats for clicker training. When doing that do I eliminate an entire meal and use that for training? or just take a portion from it?

You can use your dog's daily ration of food for training, either entirely or a portion there of. You can also continue to use other food sources during training, and it's advised to balance your dog's caloric intake if using a food source other than his daily ration.

Thanks for the reply :) The main reason I wanted to start using her kibble instead of treats is because she's still having a hard time digesting things :( Her vet said it's probably due to the fact that she had parvo, so her intestines are still healing from it. Her food keeps the stool pretty firm, and I've noticed lately that when I do more training than normal it gets loose again. From that I figured that using kibble would probably mostly eliminate that problem.
