After a lot of practice, all of our training is finally starting to pay off. All it takes just a little bit of effort and consistency, and the results speak for themselves.

Last night, for example, I was watching TV when my dog decided to curl up around my feet and roll onto her back. Within seconds, I was crouched on the ground and rubbing her belly.

Later, she started pacing about the room, sniffing the ground intently with her tail down; without hesitation, I grabbed the poop bags & leash and took her outside.

Finally, just before going to bed, after she started sniffing around my laundry bag, I immediately picked it up and started putting away my clothes.

It really is amazing how quickly a behavior can be conditioned.

I always tell my students it's more about training the people than the dogs :)
