hey ya'll its my first day on the site so i hope i did nothing wrong.... anyway, i was just wondering when you think the right age to train a cattle dog is? and is a year too old?
i am going to college next year and i am going to do the stock dog club where you train and show your own pup/dog. and i am looking at one pup right now that will be about 14 months when she is started with stock dog training.

I've seen a lot of dogs who don't get exposed until after a year. My first dog to trial on stock never saw them until 18 months.
