Tiny speck of blood at end of puppy poop

Hello,

I have a 3 month old bichon Frise puppy. His vet recently gave him a deworming pill called dolpac. Last night & Today all his poops has a small drop of blood towards the end of the segment. They were well-formed but squishy. Is it normal for puppies to poop like this after deworming? He's otherwise very active & has a good appetite.

Im very tensed as he just came back from the hospital a few weeks back suspected heatstroke. They tested of giardia 2 weeks back but that came back negative. Since then he bounced back to his energetic self in a few days.

I would give your vet a call and ask them about this side effect for this specific medication. Calls are free, and they can tell you for certain if it's nothing to worry about or if you should come back in for a visit.

Thanks!! Yes, I certainly plan to give them a call but I thought I would check to see if anyone has had the same experience with the medicine specifically or deworming in general. I'm an anxious mom 😔.
