This woman makes me sick..

This video makes me absolutely sick. And the fact that she got off with just misdemeanor charges is so wrong.. I've decided to write to my state representatives (Bud Nornes, Dan Skogen, Collin Peterson, and Amy Klobuchar) and let them know how I feel about this and ask them to stand up against things like this. I'm going to suggest that we find a way to outlaw puppy mills all together, put a limit on how many dogs someone can have to breed, and suggest banning the sale of puppies in pet stores.. How does this sound? What else should I suggest?

yes .... very absurb ...

I could understand if someone had like 8 pairs of dogs (16 adult doggy's) .... that were licensed and all shots, parvo, worms etc ...

I'm not a breeder so i do not know the average ... but, these puppy mills give breeders a bad name ... (800+ dogs ... ???)))

breeders need to be a seperate category from puppy mills ...

I think some of the newbies on here are getting confused!!!
The amount of dogs a breeder has and the amount a puppy mill has is hugely different. 16 is a WAY different number than hundreds. Why would anyone feel the need to fight for your right to own hundreds of dogs? Peronally, I would be willing to give up that right to prevent some animal abuse.
I know I would not be able to do it!!! 2 dogs are enough for me!!! (puppy's are such a handful !!!)
No, this is not an issue for the federal government, nor should it be. It should, however, be at the discretion of state and/or local government.

OP should not write her Congresspeople, but should write her state legislators, board of supervisors, city council, etc. It is a common mistake -- a little activism goes a long way when the proper people are targeted. hth.
Well, she was sentenced this Friday.. and guess what she got? 20 days in jail and a $500 fine. You can read the article here:

I hope the USDA gets a few thousand letters and some very important people pushing against their ability to look the other way when a piece of crap like that woman continues to torture animals.
I don't care if it is inconvenient, I would gladly support laws to regulate the mass production of animals. 800 dogs at one facility is about 700 too many in my opinion.
Watching those poor animals being dipped made me physically sick. I can't imagine the pain those poor animals feel on a daily basis in the care of that horrible family. I can only wish she would fall head first into her dip tank and take a big gulp of that crap. She talked about all the liars that she ran into in the dog business and then she is cheating the system at every turn.

How does the USDA close their eyes to this footage? The poor under cover guy that had to witness that stuff first hand and keep his mouth shut to investigate it properly. He must be beside himself after hearing that ruling. It is shameful!

I think the government has better (or SHOULD have better) things to do then decide how many dogs or bitches, or intact dogs you should be allowed to own.

I personally, won't appreciate the government butting into my affairs. I will own as many dogs as I like, and will not have someone telling me how many litters or dogs I can/can't have.
Did you even watch the video? That stupid biT^& was torturing all those dogs...800?! that's a lot of dogs that are living in horrible disgusting conditions. And all you care about is your right to how many dogs you can own?! That's pathetic.
