Who's got a daredevil stuntdog?

I do.

At a pond on a friend's fenced in property. ther's a fifteen foot bank on one side of the pond. Bolo is running around like a maddog...and seemingly forgot about the drop...and ran right off it into the pond!(she hates water so I know it wasn't on purpose)

she's jumped out of a two story window and hit the ground running chasing after a racoon.

she has a tendancy not to see obstacles when shes got the maddog zoomies lol..I've seen her running around and run right thwack! headfirst into a brick wall on many occasions.

or the time she ran up this tree trying to get a squirrel and got stuck like "Mama! Help me down!" and so I start to climb the tree and she uses my back like a diving board to leap out of tree.

what about y'all? any good tales of zoomie shenanigans?

The lake story is funny, I'm glad she wasn't hurt!

Last week, Chloe ran right through my back sliding door screen onto the deck because a squirrel was on the deck. She goes bananas when she sees them, who knew Pugs had prey drives? LOL.

I sometimes keep the door open so she can lounge in the sun, but this day it was shut and she zoomed right through it. She was dizzy for a minute, but no ill side effects. My screen is ripped at the bottom... dogs are so much more expensive than I ever thought!;)

You mean that time my 7 lb dog ran off a really tall wall? At least yours had a reason, I think mine just wanted to fly. I was so worried she was going to break something....

Hmmmm, Trey had a tendency to jump into doors when he was young. Nikki would climb cabinets to get to food, etc.

Oh, and Summer fell of the bed on my head last night.

The first time I met Nard (he was maybe 5 weeks) he decided to get into a fight with a scorpion and get stung on the nose so we had to rush him to the vet. Then he got caught under a couch at one point. Why did we take this dog again? He's been nothing but trouble.

Buck has developed his own style of entry when he comes in from outside.

*shakes head*

He runs full speed from where ever he is in the yard toward the back stairs. He jumps, clearing all 3 steps and slides across the deck.

The jackass part? If the door isn't open... yup, he slides head first right into the sliding glass door.

This happened when Honey was about 6 or 7 years old. My dad had backed his car into the driveway and left the car's front door open. Honey is basking in the yard behind the house.

Enter cat, outside our front gate, who starts yowling. Honey hears the cat, races all the way round to the front and right past the car, and basically gashes her side on the bottom corner of the open car door. That's not the best part... she doesn't even NOTICE it because she's standing at the gate hopping up and down at the cat.

Off to the vet for stitches. Stupid dog.

lol @ nard...he'd make a good addition to the cast of that show that's like jacka** meets steve irwin...

lol @ Buck...im not sure if it counts as a home run if you hit the base with your head :p

and oh no! sounds like Chloe's been hanging out with Bolo online or something!...cuz that reminded me of this...

we were at the beachhouse. there's a screen door that leads to a deck with no railing that overhangs the sound. (he house is on stilts in the water)

she saw the dolphins jumping out in the water and got waaay to excited and went barreling right through the screen door and right off the deck!

I was OMG! and ran out there to the rescue. I didn't see her and started freaking out.

then I hear "is this your dog?"

she landed in someone's boat! poor guy lounging around in his boat, sunbathing, had 45 pounds of squirming pit bull drop right out of the sky onto his head!

haha Honey!

I just want to say the Bolo Beast has calmed down(some:rollseyes:) as she's gotten older...

I was such a hooligan in school....my mom's nickname for Bolo is "her sweet little revenge" :p

Matrix regularly launches himself from the top of 10 concrete steps when we're off to go to the park to play ball. At least he's a big dog, but he also has HD, and no amount of "sit, wait, heel, slowly" can contain his utter excitement (obsession) with his ball. The funny thing is, we go to the park 4 times a week! It's not anything new!
He did this with our porch steps as well at our old house when we would play fetch in the backyard. Crazy boy.

Allie ran into the corner of a brick building whlie playing fetch. She now has a lovely scar on her face from it.

Lloyd tries to go down the stairs so fast that sometimes he ends up just falling down them. When he finally gets to the bottom he hops up with this attitude "I meant to do that WOOHOO!".

Wally once mis-judged a dip while running around and smacked the bottom of his muzzle on the ground.

He once got his head nearly stuck under a car trying to get a stupid cat (or I should say smart cat). *sigh*

And he tried to get a squirrel and ran his nose into a hole in the fence and scare the crap out of himself. *shakes head* He looked at me like "Didyouseethatmynosewentthroughthefencehowdidthathappenhuhhuhhuh?!!!111!!"

Oh and yeah, he's tried to run up the stairs too fast (dinner time, what else is new), got up three and then fell back four, then got up 3 and the went back two and the whole time there's still utterly horrible (and scary) sound of his nails running while he's barely moving forward.

He's looking me like - WHAT?! I just rolled my eyes. And he finally slowed down and got up the stupid stairs.

Sometimes, I question his intelligence that I thought he had.

Rocky's just happened the other day.

We've just moved into a new apartment, with huge plate glass windows on the front. The first day here, the fiancee was outside with Mesquite in the front yard, and Rocky decided he REALLY wanted to play. He went straight through the 8 foot tall screen on the window, blowing it all the way out the other side. It didn't even phase him, he charged Mesquite and started wrestling like nothing had happened.

My last dog, Cameo, was pretty crazy. One very warm summer day she was lounging in the front room with my dad, who was sitting at the computer wearing nothing but his underwear. An older couple and their GSD walked by the house and Cammy flew through the screen and out the window, across the front lawn and onto the sidewalk. My dad frantically put his pants on and got out front just in time to see the man picking himself up off the ground. He was unhurt, just shaken, and Cammy was in the next door neighbor's yard, peeing on a bush.

This same dog also used to put her snout down in gopher holes. More than once she came up with a rodent attached to her face.

In my house we have wooden stairs that have gaps between the steps. Just planks of wood connected by steel bars, if you will... something like a stepladder. When Spunky was a young pup she used to love lying down under my chair while I played the piano. One day I was playing and didn't notice her get up and decide to tackle the stairs. She started making her little way up them and ended up falling through one of the gaps. She wasn't seriously injured but it took a lot of work to get her to go near those stairs again. *sigh*

Cerbie has done flips off his sofa, got stuck in a tree running after a squirrel, and just the other day he scared the crap out of me. He has this plastic egge that he herds around the back yard. He was running and it hit the fence, and he crashed into the hard plastic egg with his head. He stumbled a bit, then went right back at it. I made him come in, and his mouth was bleeding a little, but he was still mad that I called him in.
