Besides being paid to hang out with dogs, that is. It's like I own 50+ dogs rather than just mine and only part time. So, I bring you cute dogs doing cute stuff at work (come to Michigan and adopt one ;) )

Give a Pitty one toy, he will help himself to 10+ more:

Puppies I don't have to house train just love:

Spoiling the elderly:

Sometimes, you get to teach a dog how to dance:

I could post some photos of things you would NOT envy, but I save that assault for people I am friends with on facebook. xD
aww, look at the spoiling the elderly! Why is her skin shaved on her right chest/shoulder area?

A vet needed access to her jugular but I'm not certain why. One of my coworkers adopted her immediately. :)

LIKE!

The puppies and pittie are so cute, but the older dogs just have something about them.

I am always a sucker for the old dogs. Puppies I will fawn over but easily pass up. We have a 5 year old Great Dane right now that would be a hard girl not to take home if she was not DA. Great on the leash, not reactive to other dogs despite being OK with them, and 152 lbs of love. Gotta love a dog with a head twice the size of my own:

TWAB you realize if he opens his mouth and inhales you will be gone. Obviously the very best thing about working with dogs is you spend less time with people
Steve knows if i won a lottery, I would open up a retirement home for dogs. I miss having a senior dog. Great pic!

I like the way you think!!

AND HOW. I mean, there are people, but now I generally like every one around me. It's pretty nice to spend at least 3-4 hours totally alone with dogs.

Also, I mostly like to send pictures of dogs at my shelter to people from DF to torment them.

I love the old guys! My senior guy, Noah, has the funniest personality; he is a great dog. I know some people worry that older dogs won't bond with you, but I have never had trouble. I wish more people would give the old ones a chance.
I, too, love the old ones. The Dane gal only came in about a month ago and I suspect she would be gone quicker if she wasn't DA/not allowed with cats. I could see where it would be hard to adopt a 5 year old Dane. It's hard for me to imagine that I could only have as few as two years with a dog.

I know! i would love to get a dog that has all to do with animals and less to do with people...

I get to work at home with my dog so i am lucky. He just snuggles next to me while I make websites :)
Old Chis are SO much cuter than puppies. I wish Winnie looked old her whole life.

Current gem of work:

Boyfriend's brother is coming to look at her. :) Hopefully he'll take her home.

I left Barton alone and he somehow got these blankets from a shelf he could not feasibly reach:

Let's not forget the best thing to come from my work, Elsa. Sleeping on her dog bed a few months ago (took her a week or so to figure out it was in fact a soft bed for her to sleep on)
