Looking for quality target stick that expands.

I have used an antenna off of an old radio. Worked well.

I use a 3/8" dowel cut to about 3 or 4 feet long. I sand it smooth, spray paint it white and paint one end red for about 3 or 5 inches up the stick. It's not a lot of trouble and costs around $1.
