So I had posted a little while back about my 9 month old puppy who was starting to get snappy with other dogs. Here's the update. . .

I'm not really sure what I did right, but last night she was completely calm or playful with every dog that approached her. I have been careful to keep meetings with other dogs short and sweet and actually for the most part I have been keeping her away from the other dogs as much as possible, but inevitably during agility and with the basic class going on in the next ring she is bound to have a couple sniffers. I also made sure that I did not use treats at all during agility since this seemed to be either triggering or aggravating the situation. We used a ball for a reward but I also found that she has so much fun doing tunnels (which we do mostly because she is young and I don't want her jumping or doing a lot of contacts) that it is a reward in and of itself.

"keep meetings with other dogs short and sweet" That's probably what you did right.

You end on a good note, thats what the dog remembers. And begins to associate meetings with dogs as positive experiences.
