This is our new dog named Brenham. She wandered up to a friends place that I was staying for a few months before moving from Texas to Tennessee. They knew my wife and I had purchased 14 acres so urged me to bring her with me. She looked really bad, ribs showing and had been running loose for at least 3 months before I brought her with me. She seems so happy and after some good meals has turned out to be a really pretty dog. We all called her "coyote dog" since we all thought she looked and had characteristics of a coyote in her walk, stance etc. She is very narrow in the front and wide in the back.

This is my first post and would appreciate any insight into what mix she may be. Vet said she was probably about 1 1/2 years old.

Thanks,

Mark

Spitz??

I learned something new. Thanks for the comments and suggestions as to her mix. Upon research there are quite a few of the spitz varieties that she resembles. The coat description matches some of the breed comments.

She does have a few entertaining quirks. She talks quite a bit in the morning. We call her Chewbacca in the way she groans and growls and seems to be trying to speak in the mornings. She also sleeps on her back quite frequently, in the oddest positions all twisted up and occasionally almost wraps herself around certain furniture.

So far she's great and seems to like it here in Tennessee.
