Hello
I have a question about my dogs skin
He is an 11 month old blue pit bull. For the past
2 months I’ve noticed a strange change in his skin only on his back
It started out as spots darker than his coat then there were some dry spots
I started to bathe him with chlohrex and it seemed to help for a little while. It now seems to be coming back,it does not seem to bother him since he does not scratch.

No one can really diagnose anything over the internet.

Blue pit bulls are known for having skin problems (it is connected to the dilution gene that creates the coat color) so it could be allergies, insect bites, demodetic mange, ringworm and loads of other stuff.

I suggest getting a shampoo specifically made for dogs for skin irritation and try to see if its tied to anything he eats or comes in contact with. For example, only on his back might be related to giving topical flea medication there?

At his vet check up, ask about proper shampoos and maybe over the counter allergy meds if its an allergy or a skin scrape test if vet thinks its mites etc
