Stitches from being spayed

I recently rescued a dog that had just been spayed it has been almost 2 months and I Ijust noticed a stitch sticking out of her belly. Is this normal?

Unusual but not unheard of with the kind of stitches that need to be removed after 10 days or so, but I thought spays almost always were done with self-absorbing stitches these days. Anyway, contact the rescue group you adopted her from and see if they can make an appointment with the vet who did the procedure. If not, call your own vet.
