It was too hot to scooter today, so I took Squash to a secluded little secret off leash beach.

I think he liked the water.

I think he liked running on the beach.

He sort of liked getting a stick.

He really liked running around with the stick.

He did not want to swim for the stick.

So instead, he did... this?

He mostly liked running up and down the beach, which made for great recall practice. He ran to one end, I recalled and released him, he ran to the other end, and we just sort of did that for awhile.

Oh look, his mouth DOES close.

I love Squash so much, he always looks so happy doing whatever.

LOVE Squash pictures SO much! Also, I'm super jealous, we don't have any dog friendly beaches here. The only time I get to take Kuma to the beach is after the Provincial parks shut down in October and stop enforcing the no dogs allowed rules, and that's only once or twice before it gets too cold.

Im love your pictures! A couple of them made me chuckle because Squash looks like a Crocodile! lol! I am jealous too ... we live at a lake and dogs are not allowed on the beach!

Well, that's the Mississippi River. Nobody really swims in it except the dogs around here.
